Natural, hemp-derived ingredients
Knowing that consumers primarily use CBD for help with sleep, focus, anxiety, pain and inflammation, Rhythm set out to create a line of beverages that addresses each of those individual need states, and does it with a Better-For-You label. There are no corners cut or sacrifices when it comes to being sugar-free, gluten-free, vegan, keto-friendly and low calorie. They always use natural ingredients and use organic ingredients when available. All four beverages are infused by Vertosa.
Our solution
A partnership
As a longtime Vertosa partner, the team at Rhythm knew they could come to us looking for solutions. First, their co-packer wanted to go nut-free and requested that they no longer use a coconut oil based emulsion. Second, they had a vision to redevelop all four SKUs to dramatically increase the value proposition: delicious formulations delivering more hemp, more active ingredients, and enhanced packaging, all at a lower cost. Finally, a demand for CBN, a minor cannabinoid known for its sleep-enhancing qualities, pushed them to further reformulate Rhythm Sleep.
Going Nut-free
We worked closely with the team at Rhythm to make the switch to our MCT-oil based emulsion for all 4 formulas. This required a lot of sampling to ensure the taste of the beverages were not sacrificed, and testing to ensure that the new emulsions were compatible with the wide variety of non-cannabis functional ingredients used in Rhythm's drinks.
More bang for your buck
Our team was able to create a formulation addressing Rhythm's desire to increase value: an increased potency of CBD. All 4 drinks now contain 25 mg of CBD compared to the original 15 mg - a 66% increase. All without sacrificing taste.
A truly custom solution
Vertosa stocks a variety of active inputs, including minor cannabinoids like CBN. Our knowledgable team was able to discuss the functionality of their desired inputs and suggest the correct ratios. Through rigorous testing, we ensured the replacement of melatonin with CBN for sleep worked with the variety of other ingredients to deliver their brand promise.
